Revolutionize Your Pain Management
with HFX™ Spinal Cord Stimulation
Discover a Life Free from Chronic Pain with Cutting-Edge Neurostimulation Technology

What is Spinal Cord Stimulation?
Spinal cord stimulation (SCS) is an advanced therapy that uses a device to send electrical impulses to the spinal cord, blocking pain signals from reaching your brain. It is a life-changing solution for chronic pain sufferers, especially those who have undergone back surgery or have not responded to other treatments.
At Laser Pain Center, we offer HFX™, the only SCS system that provides both high-frequency 10 kHz therapy and low-frequency options, either separately or combined. This dual-frequency technology allows for a ompletely paresthesia-free experience—you won’t feel the tingling sensations that are common with older SCS devices.
Benefits of HFX™ Spinal Cord Stimulation
- Immediate and Long-Term Relief
Patients report up to 80% reduction in pain, with many experiencing significant relief even after other treatments have failed. HFX has been clinically shown to provide lasting improvement in pain, function, and quality of life. - Smart and Personalized Therapy
HFX™ includes HFX iQ™, a smart, AI-powered system that learns from your daily progress and automatically adjusts therapy to deliver optimal relief. You also get access to a smartphone app where you can track your progress and communicate with your care team. - Dual-Frequency Customization
Unlike traditional SCS devices, HFX™ allows for both high- and low-frequency stimulation.Your treatment can be customized daily based on your lifestyle, pain fluctuations, or activity levels—delivering a truly flexible and responsive pain management experience. - Drug-Free Pain Relief
HFX™ offers a non-opioid alternative for managing chronic pain, helping patients reduce or eliminate the need for pain medications.
The Science Behind Spinal Cord Stimulation (SCS)
Understanding How SCS Modulates Pain
Spinal cord stimulation works by disrupting pain signals before they reach your brain. The implanted device sends electrical pulses directly to the dorsal column of the spinal cord, a key pathway in pain transmission. HFX™ takes this concept further with its high-frequency stimulation, which does not produce tingling and provides a more natural pain relief experience.
Neurostimulation Technology That Works
- Implantable Device: A small pulse generator is implanted under the skin during a minimally invasive outpatient procedure.
- Trial Period: Patients typically begin with a one-week trial using an external version of the system to ensure it provides effective relief.
- Long-Term Comfort: Once implanted, the device is discreet, low-maintenance, and rechargeable.

Failed Back Surgery Syndrome
Also known as post-laminectomy syndrome, this condition occurs when patients continue to experience pain following back surgery.

Complex Regional Pain Syndrome
A chronic pain condition usually affecting an arm or a leg, CRPS typically develops after an injury, surgery, stroke, or heart attack.

Chronic Intractable Pain
This includes ongoing, severe pain that does not respond to conventional treatments. It can involve different parts of the body.

Neuropathic Pain
Pain caused by nerve damage or a malfunctioning nervous system. Examples include pain from spinal cord injuries, phantom limb pain (following amputation), or diabetic neuropathy.

Chronic Leg or Arm Pain
Often resulting from spinal issues, these conditions can sometimes be managed effectively with SCS.

Ischemic Pain
Pain from insufficient blood flow to an area of the body, such as angina or peripheral vascular disease, which can cause limb pain due to vascular insufficiency.

Arachnoiditis
A painful condition caused by inflammation of the arachnoid, one of the membranes that surround and protect the nerves of the spinal cord, often due to spinal surgeries or epidural injections.

Chronic Abdominal Pain
In certain cases, SCS can be used to treat abdominal pain that does not respond to other treatments.

Chronic Pelvic Pain
This is another area where SCS may be beneficial, particularly when the pain is of neural origin.

Real Relief For Our Patients
“I first started going for chronic back pain. Little by little my pain subsided and I can now say that without their treatments I probably wouldn’t be walking. Not only have they helped me immensely but they also helped my wife earlier when she couldn’t take two steps without pain. Thank you for your treatments and concern for my health and my wife’s as well.”
“I was having back and neck pain down my right leg. The pain stopped almost immediately and after follow up treatments I was pain free. The injections are painless and they are good listeners and truly know what the problems are. I have recommended friends and they are also happy with their treatment.”
“I had some back pain & the doctor was giving me shots for the pain. The shots worked, but only for a short time. They suggested a spinal cord stimulator. Now that I have the stimulator I haven’t had any pain and I have lost some weight because I am once again able to walk and do things that I was not able to do before the stimulator was the best thing that I have done to deal with the pain.”
“I had a spinal cord stimulator implant put in my back. Since that time, when I have pain in my spine, or down my leg, I just turn on the stimulator and it takes care of the pain. I do recommend it to people that have pain like I had. I do not want to take drugs for the pain, so this is the only way I could find to relieve the pain.”
“I came into this office with an artificial knee, torn rotator cuff, nerve damage, needed neck surgery and was on a lot of meds. Now I feel I have improved to do more activity. They do shots and medication to help control my pain.”
